Conditions of Use

Drivers

Drivers must be aged between 25 and 70 years of age, and have held a full current driving licence for two years or more. The license must be free of endorsements (except for minor speeding or parking offences, an extra charge is made for this) and Must be produced at the time of vehicle collection along with one other form of identification e.g. credit card, passport, council or utility bill). We reserve the right to cancel the hire, if at the commencement of hire, nominated drivers licenses are invalid or not in accordance with the conditions. In these circumstances, all monies paid by the hirer will be kept by Motor-Homes-Hire.co.uk.

Whilst every effort is made to ensure that the hirer receives the vehicle they booked. Should any unforeseen damage or fault occur, and it is not possible for us to restore the vehicle to its full roadworthy condition. Then we reserve the right to offer a substitute vehicle or to return any payments made by the hirer and cancel the booking if this is deemed necessary.

Reservations

A completed booking form should be returned together with a deposit of 10% per week. A booking confirmation letter will be sent out to you along with an invoice for the remaining balance which is payable 28 days prior to hire starting. Cheque's must clear before the vehicle leaves the premises.

Vehicle Collection and Return

The normal minimum hire period is one week, although other periods may be allowed after discussion. The time and date of return will be confirmed at the time of booking confirmation and again at collection of vehicle. There will be a surcharge for vehicles returned late. The motor home will be available for collection any time after 1:00pm and must be returned by 11:00am.

Late Returns

We are a small family business and we like to meet our client's wishes every time. If you are late back with the Motorhome, it usually means us letting down another client. We therefore charge a late return surcharge of £100.00 plus the daily rate. This usually ensures we don't let anyone down.

Free Car Parking

Our Clients are welcome to leave vehicles at our premises. All are left at owners own risk.

Security Deposit

The security deposit of £300 is due in cash on the day of commencement of hire. If there is any damage to the vehicle during the hire, the security deposit will not be refunded.

Instead, the cost of repair will be deducted and if there is any balance, it will be returned to you. We give our motor homes to you in clean, undamaged and complete condition; please make sure you return them in the same way.

Cancellations

Should a hirer wish to cancel, the deposit paid will not be refunded.

Liability

You are responsible for all expenses incurred due to violation of traffic laws, regulations etc. and for the company's security deposit in the event of an accident. In the event of an accident which is not due to the hirers negligence, our liability is limited to a refund of hire charge for any days lost.

Breakdown / Accident

All breakdown / accidents must be reported to us immediately, for further instruction. Repairs must first be authorised by ourselves and VAT receipts retained in order for us to reimburse the cost. An accident report must be completed and returned to us on termination of hire. It is highly recommended that the hirer's have personal AA or RAC Recovery. For Europe this is compulsory.

Insurance

The vehicle is comprehensively insured, but the hirer is responsible for the insurance excess, which in this case is £1000.

Fuel / Oil / Tyres

We expect you to regularly check oil, water and tyre pressure levels during the hire period. You are also responsible for repair of punctures and damaged tyres

Personal Property

The hirer's personal property is not covered by our insurance policy and so we advise you to take out travel and cancellation insurance.

Mileage

Unlimited mileage.

Gas

We supply two bottles of gas. Extra gas required is at your expense and no refund will be given.

Toilet

A charge of £50 will be made if the toilet is not returned clean and empty.

Bed Linen

There is no charge for use of our bed linen.
